ISA Ladies’ Residence – Stellenbosch
About the company
Isa Ladies residence, situated in the heart of Stellenbosch, is a well known residence for students busy with their studies at the well renowned ISA Carstens Academy. ISA Ladies' residence explored various ways to overcome the negative effects of load-shedding. These effects included security risks, restricted study times as well as large challenges for the kitchen staff to keep the food fresh and on time.
e-LEK Energy was approached to find an optimal solution for the residence to overcome the negative effects of load shedding. e-LEK installed the following:
- 56kWp Solar PV Panels
- 50kW SMA Solar Inverter
- 60kVA Victron Quattro Inverters
- 180kWh Freedom Won Battery
The installation ensures that all security controls stay on during load shedding periods, as well as the study desks and cold rooms to keep the food fresh and the minds sharp.
