About the company

Devonbosch is one of the latest developments in the Stellenbosch area. It boasts with a harmonious blend of luxury living, adventure, business opportunity and sustainable innovation. They consider themselves as more than just an estate or village and see themselves as a community.

About the installation

Due to nature and size of the property, their electrical consumption is extremely high with a peak load of 1 MW. As part of the modern and top residential developments, Devonbosch are trying their best to be more environmentally friendly and in the process minimizing the aesthetic impact that a solar PV plant may have. e-LEK Energy was approached to add a solar PV system to the larger grid network as there has already been solar PV panels installed previously. e-LEK installed the following:

  • 133kWp All Black Solar PV Panels
  • 100kW SMA Core 1 Solar Inverters

Due to the aesthetical impact the solar plant had on the modern design of the property, e-LEK chose to install all black PV panels.

As part of the installation, e-LEK installed CTs at the main transformer for the entire property to benefit from solar generation.

Devonbosch aim to add solar PV panels to newer buildings as they are built minimising any disruption and standardizing on the modern, eco-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing all black solar panels.
